Advantages of HOG Test-kit :
 Placing of Loco for idle for 01 Hour is not required.
 Diesel consumption by loco is avoided.
 HT lines providing near sick line (or) IOH shed is avoided.
 Obstructing line for movement of coaches sick line (or) IOH shed is
avoided.
 HOG Test-kit can be installed with low cost.
3.5 Special safety drive – Sensitizing outsourcing staff and to
restrain them from cooking in Power cars:

Conducted a special safety drive for a period of 15 days (from 04/10/21
to 18/10/21) on sensitizing department & outsourcing staff in 37-Power
cars, 19-LSLRDs & 18-LHB EOG AC pantry cars at SC & HYB Depots.
 No Electrical stove /cooker is found in all EOG/LSRDs/Power cars,
 Found all electrical devices in all coaches are in working condition
 No oil spillage & debris found in engine rooms of power car
 Available safety equipments ie., fire balls, automatic smoke & Fire
Detection Alarm System in power cars/Pantry cars are in good
condition. Defectives noticed are advised to concern for necessary
action.
 Found adequate knowledge in all the staff on usage of Fire
extinguisher
3.6 Special Drive for checking of provision of APFC panel
(Capacitor Bank) in LHB AC coaches:
A special drive was conducted to ensure working condition of APFC
panel (Capacitor Bank) in LHB AC coaches.
Drive conducted in 265-LHB AC coaches, 18-LHB Pantry cars & 38-Power
cars at SC & HYB.
Ensured working condition of capacitor banks in good condition.
3.7 Special safety drive to ensure working condition of LED based
flasher Red light provided in rear of SLR/Power cars/LSLRDs:
In view of the upcoming winter season to ensure safety in all the trains. As
a pre-winter precautions, a safety drive is conduted to ensure the working
condition of all LED base flasher Red light provided in rear of SLR/Power
cars/LSLRDs.
Conducted drive in 51-Power cars, 69-SLRs & 20-LSLRD at SC & HYB, found
Tail lamps & switch control in Guard room are in working condition.
