(4) INNOVATIONS (POWER)

4.1 Quick Watering System at SC:

Quick coach watering system has been developed at Secunderabad Railway
Station to reduce the time taken for filling the water in the coaches Target
time for filling the water for entire rake as per CAMTECH recommendation to
be less than 5 minutes. To achieve this existing pumping system technology is
obsolete. Accordingly, New Coach watering system has been implemented
which contains 6 no’s of 20 HP pumps.

(4) INNOVATIONS (AC & TL)

4.1 Economic measures for control of expenditure:

As an economic measure, It has been decided to utilize the Train
Lighting staff of Electrical department for AC maintenance & Escorting

duties to reduce the out flow of Over Time allowance.

Completed training of all TL staff (Sr.Tech. to Helpers) and are been

deputed for escorting duties.
4.2 Monitoring of disctribution of escorting staff:

To control the expenditure on OT hours of escorting AC staff and even
distribution of escorting duties among staff. On-line monitoring system is
introduced in Google Drive at free of cost.

Following are the features of introduced Google drive sheet:
 Planning in booking of AC staff
 Individual OT hours
 Attendance of staff
 List of trains movement
 Ensure proper distribution of duties among staff
 No. of staff booking on individual train

4.3 Power car Energy Management System

Division had introduced a Google drive sheet to monitor the HSD oil
consumption and Energy (kWh) consumption record of HOG trains.
