Individuals Responsibility for Delivery
We refer to the preceding pages where we have introduced our Contract Administration Team for Queens Quay.
We have also clearly identified the roles of our team within the roles and responsibilities pages.
Project Lead : We propose that our CA team is led by Alan Booth.
Alan is an experienced Project Manager with a breadth of experience and the ability to lead and manage project team’s.
He also has the ability to establish ‘forward strategy’ on projects and guide a project with diligence and skill.
Prior to joining Ryden PM two years ago, Alan worked regularly with Ryden agency and investment colleagues in his role as Development Manager with
Developer Scot Sheridan. A large part of this organisation’s developments were in the mixed use and industrial sectors. As a consequence they were
brownfield sites which required site development, remediation, new roads and services and plot development.
This is very complimentary to the nature of the Queens Quay project and we feel that Alan is ideally suited to the role of project lead.
Alan also has experience in the role of CA and we are therefore comfortable discharging the role of ‘Engineer’ as is defined in this Contract.
Project Partner : Craig Tennant will be project partner and provide project support to Alan and Adam.
Craig has also been involved in a range of complimentary projects, which are noted in the preceding pages.
Indeed, projects such as Pacific Quay in Glasgow, City Quay, Dundee and Clarendon Quay, Belfast were all dockland regeneration projects on which
Craig was heavily involved. All of these projects required the transformation of dock related facilities to new masterplan uses, whereby new access
roads, utilities, drainage, remediation and subsequent plot development were required.
On City Quay, Dundee Craig worked particularly closely with Arch Henderson who were both civil/structural engineers and marine engineers.
Craig will be particularly focussed on the project strategy, supporting the robust review of the procurement of the packages or Contracts and providing
strategic support as part of our CA role.
Project Support : Adam Copeland has fantastic technical and construction site based experience. Prior to being a project management
specialist, Adam worked for Contracting organisations whereby he learnt the industry as a site based member of the Constructor’s team’s.
Adam has been a project manager for the last 5 years and prior to joining Ryden PM he worked for a developer and a housing association.
This has given Adam a real breadth of experience in the industry. His experience ensures that our CA team have rounded CA and construction
expertise to provide a high quality team proposition for consideration by Dawn Developments.
Additional support : We will add further CA team resource to our core team, should this be required. We recognise that this is a ‘hands on’ CA
role, which is largely managing the delivery phase of this initial development of the Queens Quay project.
Therefore, should it be necessary to add further support to our team then we will liaise with Dawn Developments and advise accordingly.
