FORFAR INDOOR SPORTS - SENIOR ICE TECHNICIAN
18. The list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to
undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post.
Job descriptions should be regularly reviewed to ensure they are an accurate representation of
the post.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of at least 5 years of curling ice making
experience and relative qualifications such as Level 2 Ice Technicians Course.
Graham Smith has kindly agreed to be available, when possible, to consult and assist to assure
a smooth transition.
Contract:
The successful candidate can be either a Forfar Indoor Sports employee or self-employed
depending on the individuals circumstance and requirements.
FIS is interested in a person as a dedicated member of the ice team ie not providing a
contracted service providing ice making services to multiple clubs.
The successful candidate will be offered a competitive package terms of which can be
negotiated once an offer is made. Terms will be commensurate with experience. Ideally we
st
will be looking for the contract to begin on or about 1 August, 2019 subject to final
negotiations with the successful candidate.
The successful candidate could obtain additional summer working in the off season if desired.
