                                       Flemish Knot

                                         This is another quick and simple
                                       way of joining two rope ends. Lay
                                       them together and tie them as one in
                                       the form of a Figure Eight Knot (fig's
                                       1 &l 2). Pull on the standing parts of
                                       the'two ropes and the doubled knot
                                       will tighten (fig. 3).
