JOHN STEPHENSON OBE

Academy Award winner John Stephenson is quite simply one of the
Director
top directors in the UK with over 30 years of experience.

A dynamic professional who takes pride in high standards both
technically and creatively in every project he undertakes. John
is especially adept in his understanding of text and is an “Actor’s
Director” getting the very best from the artists.

John is meticulous in his preparation, planning and story boarding,
working closely with the Director of Photography, Designer and VFX
team to create a polished look and style for all his work.

John has years of experience of filming on location (UK and abroad),
learning his trade by working his way through the ranks since

graduating with an MA from Royal College of Art.
His dedication, ability and charm ensures the very best out of
everybody and keeps a great working spirit on set and most
importantly a superb end product. Therefore, John is not only our
ideal choice but also the perfect choice to direct “Aquifer”. John was
awarded an OBE for services to the British Film Industry in 2003
