MICHAEL O-SULLIVAN
Michael is a seasoned film industry executive with over 40 years’ experience in the
film, TV, video/DVD and cinema exhibition industries and worked at Paramount
Pictures for over 35 years, retiring as the Executive Vice President & CFO for
International. Specific areas of expertise include; film & TV production, strategic
and financial planning; financial reporting; movie and TV scheduling, budgeting and
accounting.
He was also on the board of the joint venture companies, UIP, CIC and UCI and
as such has an intimate knowledge of all forms of film finance, distribution and
exhibition.
During his career, Michael was involved as a production executive on over 70 movies
and numerous TV programmes and series. These include films such as The Great
Gatsby, The Duellists, Shogun, The Indiana Jones trilogy, Reds, The Winds of War,
Shirley Valentine, The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, The Talented Mr Ripley,
the Mission Impossible series, Lara Croft Tomb Raider and many others.
During the past several years he has acted as a mentor to a number of filmmakers to
help them progress their projects.
Currently, he is the Hon. President of the Production Guild of Great Britain; Chair
British Cine Guilds and member of the British Film Institute supported, UK Skillset Film
skills training committee.
He also serves as Vice Chairman of the local Sports Council, (Sport Godalming);
Treasurer of the Rotary club of Godalming Woolsack; and is the Press & Publicity
officer for Godalming Film Society. Additionally he is the Life President, Farncombe
Youth FC, and Life Member Guildford RFC. Member of BAFTA in good standing
