Codes. Knowing I could not photocopy the letter, I wrote down
the codes so I could look them up at a later date. The codes
consisted of:

Penal Code section 11165, 11166, 11172

Code of Civil Procedures: 516 "Parents Right to
Injuries"

Civil Code: 49 "Enticement of Parent"

Civil Code: 4600.5, 4608 "Joint custody, legal cus-
tody, determination of the best interest of the
child"

Mr. Rothman sent the letter to Dr. Chandler on July 27,
1993, the negotiations for the movie deal were held on August
4th 1993, and the boy was taken to the psychiatrist on August
17th 1993. If you recall, in Dr. Chandler's recorded conversa-
tion with Mr. Dave Schwartz, which was recorded prior to July
9th, 1993, Dr. Chandler admitted that there were other people
involved... waiting for his phone call. That he had paid them
to do it. Everything was going according to a certain plan that
it wasn't just his. And that once that he made a phone call, that
guy (Rothman) was going to destroy everybody in sight in any
devious, nasty, cruel way that he could do it... and that he had
given him full authority to do so. Dr. Chandler also admitted,
"There's no way I can lose. I've checked that inside out."
Dr. Chandler made it look like he simply took his son to a
psychiatrist and it was the psychiatrist that stumbled upon the
child molestation allegations. Nothing was further from the
truth. Taking his son to the psychiatrist was well thought out
and calculated because Dr. Chandler had received detailed in-
formation from Mr. Rothman about the ramifications of using
a third party to report child abuse.
