The Imaging Department provides a wide range of diagnostic services. We aim to provide a rapid access service for many specialties across our sites, and same-day appointments are often available. Please contact the department by phone or email for further information.
Highly skilled radiographers and nuclear medicine technologists work alongside individual consultant radiologists and consultant physicians across a range of specialties (see below), including cardiology, neurology, renal and orthopaedics.
Diagnostic services include:
• Comprehensive scanning across all subspecialties
• Six 1.5T MRI scanners and two 3.0T MRI scanners
• CT scanner – full service offered including virtual colonoscopy
• Consultant-led and supervised low-dose cardiac CT scanner
• Consultant-led cardiac MRI service
• Weight bearing foot and ankle CT scanner
• Nuclear Medicine Department consisting of a
SPECT scanner, a DEXA scanner and a PET CT scanner
• Plain film
• Ultrasound
• Mammography (including screening)
• Fluoroscopy rooms
• Interventional radiology
• State-of-the-art hybrid imaging Cardiac Catheter Labs
• Theatre imaging including an O-Arm
