As we read through the script, Jake
has a hero-like impression. In light

of the recent fanfare of this current
generation for the Marvel and DC
universes, a hero-like persona

seems appropriate, relatable and
entertaining. Since Jake will be sick,
his superhero qualities will be
portrayed by his presence at the
party and his perseverance in

“soldiering on”.

In order to place the two leading
characters in the spotlight, lighting

will be key in separating them out to
make all the action relevant to
them. We are aiming for a surreal
feel with perfect lighting. Jake has

energy! But still with a rosy nose
caused by the irritation, just to
show that he is actually sick.

We will use a colorful night-life for
the party setting to allow people to
dissolve in the background and
surroundings while the 2 characters
are backlit to separate them from

the rest.
