SOFT EXTRACT: It is a semi solid preparation, is made by concentrating
the decoction and adding refined honey or sugar. It has the character
of quick absorption, high concentration, small volume, easy to store and
can be prepared to take long time.
TABLET: Is made from herbal powder or extract and plus proper
supplementary materials, which is one of the most common modern
preparation of TCM.
GRANULES: In new preparation developed in the foundation of
decoction, powder and syrup, which is made from herbal extract and
plus supplementary materials or herbal powder. It has the character of
small in size, easy to take, good taste and rapid onset.
GLUE: Is the solid lump for internal administration through boiling animal
skin, bone, horn, with water concentrating and drying the liquid.
PLASTER: plaster is traditional external preparation of Chinese patent
medicines through extracting the herbal materials with oil and refining
with a reddish oxide of led. Plasters is always used to treat bruises, joint
pain, sore, and abscess with the character of high drug loading and
persisting efficacy release.
DRIPPING PILLS: Is the produced with proper drug and matrix. The drug
with volatile or not easy to form or quick actin medicine can be made
in to dripping pills. Which has the advantage of easy to take, quick
dissolution, rapid onset.
TCM INJECTION: Traditional Chinese medicinal injection are extracted
from herbal medicine and refined according to the method of
producing injection medicine, which is newly modern preparation of
Chinese patent medicine. It has the advantages of normal injection
medicine such as accurate dosage, fat acting, without influencing of
food and oral drugs, high bioavailability.
Chinese people are so innovative. They have advanced technology.
We should apply TCM clinical application methods and technology in
drug preparation section of Ayurveda.
