Changes Are Coming ...
Florida Medical Marijuana
Medical Cannabis is just one of
many issues in which the federal Smoking Ban Update
government is so far behind the
people, it’s beyond funny. This is On January 17, 2019, Gov. Ron DeSantis held a news confer-

the lights to bright! Just last month,
he announced that he was in favor
of the state legislature changing the
current law to allow smokable med-
ical marijuana. And he seems to
want quick action. He’s given our state representatives and senators a March
deadline or he will drop a state court appeal that seeks to reverse a judge’s
ruling overturning the smoking ban.
“What the Florida Legislature has done to implement the people’s will has
not been done in accordance with what the amendment envisioned,” DeSantis
said. “Whether (patients) want to smoke it or not, who am I to judge that? I
want people to be able to have their suffering relieved. I don’t think this law
is up to snuff.”
And while we’re on the subject of providing better access to legal medical
cannabis, let’s not forget the 2nd stop in our “Lift the Banned” Tour presented
by Trulieve. On February 17th, we’ll be holding
another great educational cannabis event at the
Naples Beach Brewery, Naples, Florida, 12:30
p.m. – 4 p.m. For more information, visit our
website www.cannabisnewsflorida.com. Medical
cannabis professionals and other experts will be
on hand to speak about Cannabis 101 and answer
all questions.
We’re turning the lights on about medical
cannabis in Florida!
