Opens Kosher Pantry for Patients
The Palm Beach
Children’s Hospital recently
hosted the ribbon-cutting
ceremony for its Kosher
Pantry, made possible
through the hospital’s part-
nership with Chai Lifeline.
In efforts to adequately
meet the needs of the hos-
pital’s Orthodox Jewish
patients and visitors, many
of whom travel from all
over the world, this space
will provide the resources
they need for their nutri-
tion habits.
Hospital leadership and
representatives of the
organization hosted the
grand opening, and even
blessed the pantry by
installing a "mezuzah" at
the entrance. Individuals of
the Jewish faith believe this
artifact provides special
protection for their homes
and other spaces, and have
followed this tradition for
