21. Paragraph Writing

You are sometimes asked to write a paragraph on some topics, which might

make you feel worried. But you will be glad to know that it is very easy to write a

paragraph. What should you do to write a paragraph?

Think about the topic for some time. Write the first sentence about that. Then

think of other things related to that topic. Write whatever you know about the
topic. Once you have written some lines, check the flow, you may notice that some

lines do not read well, make necessary changes to them. If you find they are in

order, your paragraph seems to develop well.

Read the paragraphs given below:

1. An Unexpected Holiday

Last Saturday happened to be an unexpected holiday. I phoned my friends and we

decided to go for an outing to Essel World, an amusement park with different kinds

of rides. We were very excited. This was our first visit. In no time, we were there. Oh

God ! What a fantastic park. Everything worked mechanically. We went from one

side to another. They moved so fast that we would hold on to each other out of fear.

While sitting on the rides, it felt as if we returned home, talking about this fun-filled
holiday.

2. My Sister

Neha is my sister. She is five years old. She is chubby, fair and naughty. She studies in

IInd class. She sleeps with me and wakes up with me. We also go to school together.

She is intelligent but also naughty and often plays tricks in class. She listens to me
