What Can I Do To Prevent It?
• Avoid repetitious movement of the wrist.
• Avoid prolonged gripping and pinching.
• Avoid leaning on hard surfaces with palms and wrists.
• Take frequent breaks and gently stretch your hands
and wrists.
• Check your posture to ensure you are not stressing
your body.
What Can I Do For Treatment?
• Wear a wrist brace in neutral position at night and during
activities that cause symptoms.
• Modify or avoid activities which cause symptoms.
• Complete tendon and nerve gliding exercises.
• Occupational Therapy with ultra-sound, iontophoresis
and/or manual techniques.
• Steroid injection by a physician.
• Surgery to release the
transverse carpal ligament.

C. Pull fingers down
with tips straight
D. Hook or claw
