In Story Explorers, participants explore new media of art through the lens of their favorite stories. Follow the whimsical lead of Shel Silverstein in this playful week of fun times and rhymes! Participants explore the words and drawings of this iconic artist as they create their own wacky world of art. This program culminates in an imaginative showcase and exhibit on Friday for family and friends.

Zines (small, handmade books) are full of endless potential! These art books can be filled with stories, sketches, poems, lists and more. Come be part of creating the MCA’s very own zine library to be shared with the community! Participants express their thoughts, feelings, and imagination in this popular program! This program culminates in an exhibit on Friday for family and friends.

Recycled Runway (Gr 5-8)

Needles, thread, fabric and imagination converge during this favorite program! Participants explore hand sewing and embroidery, fabric dyeing, machine sewing, and more. Participants also have the opportunity to take part in their own fashion show at the end of the program. No previous experience necessary. This program culminates in an exhibit on Friday for family and friends.
