In Story Explorers, participants explore new media of art through the lens of their favorite stories. Climb aboard the Stages and Studios time machine in this week full of time exploration! Participants may find themselves dancing among dinosaurs or designing futuristic devices! This program culminates in an imaginative showcase and exhibit on Friday for family and friends.

Carving And Constructing (Gr 3-4)

Art involves careful thought about construction and function in addition to beauty. Artists consider how to make a piece that won’t fall over as well as how to stretch the laws of gravity. As pieces grow, participants explore their creative pattern-making skills by adding or carving away designs to enhance the surfaces of their pieces. This program culminates in an exhibit on Friday for family and friends.

Drawn To Art (Gr 5-8)

Can’t get enough of doodling, drawing, and designing on paper? Whether sketching skulls in a realistic way or creating characters from their imagination, participants will keep their hands busy in this week focused on building drawing skill and confidence in a variety of styles.
