Zines for Teens (Gr 8-12, Morning) VS03E19
Zines (small, handmade books) are a simple way of communicating meaning that can
be easily copied and distributed. Filled with stories, sketches, poems, lists, statements, and more, zines are an approachable artform for all! Come be part of creating the MCA’s very own zine library to be shared with the community! Participants express their thoughts, feelings, and imagination as they create zines simple and complex. Friends and family are encouraged to celebrate the artists’ accomplishments and view their work as part of our Friday student exhibit.

A Cappella Crash Course (Gr 8-12, Afternoon) VS03F19
One week to arrange, rehearse, choreograph, and perform a brand new a cappella song? Challenge accepted! This intensive program will have participants working on every aspect of their one-of-a-kind, one-week-only a cappella group. Skills will range from music theory and composition to creating and executing dance moves that tell a story and set the mood. The group will debut their pitch perfect performance and their newfound skills in a showcase on Friday afternoon.
