The Wild Boar and the Fox
10
A wild boar stood under a tree and rubbed his tusks
against the trunk, A Fox passing by asked him why he
sharpened his teeth when there was no danger from either
hunters or dogs. He replied, “I do it for a good reason. It
would not help to sharpen my weapons at the time I should
be using them.”
The Moral
It is too late to whet the sword when the trumpet
sounds.
