Continuing the recent tradition, IDETC/CIE 2016 will colocate with the ASME Additive Manufacturing + 3D General Conference Co-Chair
Printing Conference & Expo (AM3D) to highlight emergent technologies that impact the critical engineering University of Nebraska
issues of product design and development, manufacturing, and the management and integration of
information systems throughout the product life cycle. Lincoln, NE, United States
                                                                                              cnelson5@unl.edu
Drawing largely from the 970 draft papers submitted, the conference will feature 772 archival paper
presentations and 74 technical presentations across a wide range of session topics, complemented by
plenary and keynote lectures, lively panel discussions, industry sessions, and informational tutorials and
workshops addressing a rich spectrum of cutting-edge topics related to design, analysis, computation, and
academic/professional success. IDETC/CIE and AM3D will serve as a unique forum for sharing knowledge
as well as for networking within and between academia, government, funding agencies, and industry.
A successful technical program depends on the many volunteers who serve as conference and program
chairs, symposium and session chairs, and other organizational roles, as well as those who fill committee Anurag Purwar
leadership positions, not to mention the authors and reviewers. We would like to warmly thank all who General Conference Co-Chair
contributed to the success of this event, and give particular thanks to ASME staff whose hard work behind Stony Brook University
              the scenes is greatly appreciated.
                                                                                              Stony Brook, NY United States
In addition to the excellent technical program, IDETC/CIE 2016 will offer a rich social program that features anurag.purwar@stonybrook.edu
a reception in the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
We hope you will enjoy IDETC/CIE and AM3D 2016 and your stay in Charlotte and that you find the
              experience rewarding.
