LSTC Highlights/Retirees
*On November 15, 2011, Central Methodist University (CMU) and Linn State Technical College
signed a formal agreement allowing students, alumni, citizens of Linn and the surrounding
communities the opportunity to earn a baccalaureate degree. The agreement provides students
who have earned an Associate of Applied Science degree at LSTC the opportunity to complete a
Bachelor of Applied Science in Management or a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies-
Entrepreneurship Emphasis from CMU and LSTC's main campus in Linn, MO.
*Nick Straatmann, Communications instructor, was one of the 30 finalists from an original field of
more the 22,000 applicants to compete for the opportunity to be in the 2012 MLB Fan Cave in
New York.
*In 2011-2012, the Business and Industry Department secured $822,308 in customized training
grants for 27 area companies.
