HOMECOMING 2013

We have some suggestions for other activities that you and your classmates may want to participate in! We will assist Homecoming registrants in coordinating these additional excursions as Homecoming approaches.
FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 27 AND SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 28 “Brocante” Flea Market in Le Landeron 15 Sw Fr per person for train fare
Since 1973, Fête de la Brocante has taken place in Le Landeron and it has become the largest antique fair in Switzerland. Le Landeron is just a short train ride from Neuchâtel, so you will have lots of time to browse, shop and explore this picturesque medieval town.
Promenade boat trip across Lac Neuchâtel
19 Sw Fr per person
Take a leisurely boat trip across Lac Neuchâtel and back, and enjoy the spectacular views.
Boat trip to Morat
50 Sw Fr per person
Take a boat trip to Morat, explore, and return to Neuchâtel either by boat or by train.
Boat trip to Estavayer-Le-Lac
50 Sw Fr per person
Take a boat trip to Estavayer-Le-Lac, located at the end of Lac Neuchâtel, explore, and return to Neuchâtel by boat.
Friday night dinner at Pinte de Pierre-à-Bôt or at the Jura Café in town
Enjoy a dinner with friends at either of these two local restaurants and then head outside at 9:00 pm for a confetti-filled Guggenmusik parade.
Saturday afternoon Children’s Parade
Take in this afternoon parade filled with lots of music and more confetti.
Saturday excursion to Bern
20 Sw Fr per person for train fare
Take the train to Bern accompanied by Mr. Boyer, Head of School, as your guide for a tour of Switzerland’s capital.
All alumni and friends are welcome to join us in Switzerland for Homecoming 2013, with special recognition of the Classes of 1964, 1974, 1984, 1988, 1994 and 2004 who are celebrating milestones. The following events are planned for all alumni who are able to join us:
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2013
Welcome Reception at the College 4:30 to 6:00 pm – Complimentary
Join your classmates for a wine-and-cheese reception, hosted by Bill Boyer, Head of School. Tour the school buildings and meet our Student Ambassadors from the Class of 2014.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2013
Hôtel DuPeyrou Alumni Dinner
6:30 to 9:00 pm – $100 CAD per person
Enjoy traditional Swiss specialties and a glass or two of local wine with your classmates in this beautiful building, surrounded by French-style formal gardens. Built between 1765 and 1770 as a residence for Pierre-Alexandre DuPeyrou, the Hôtel DuPeyrou, with its superb chef and excellent menu, is the perfect setting for our Neuchâtel reunion.
