Telling the NJC Story
R emember when you returned from your time at Neuchâtel and found that it was not always easy to articulate what you had just experienced? How to sum up typique-Suisse culture, English class with a view of the Alps, or jaunts to Vienna, Paris and Florence on the weekends with friends? People from back home wondered if you were actually serious! With the perspective of a few years under our belts, the memories of everyday NJC life grew into more profound reflections on how the experience transformed us: the life lessons learned, the confidence inspired, the independence gained and the leadership that

emerged in each of us. No wonder prospective families find it all hard to absorb too.
In 2011, Head of School, Bill Boyer and NJC’s Canadian Advisory Committee were inspired to delineate common outcomes of the NJC experience, in just a few words, so they could be shared consistently with all families who were considering NJC for their children. hosted across Canada, you’ll hear them during the presentation.
These ‘pillars’ of the NJC experience help to begin the conversation, but four words could never tell the whole story. The most compelling facts are those expressed by the varied and enthusiastic voices of NJC alumni. It cannot be overstated how important it is to receive referrals from the NJC community and the all-important alumni support at our admission events. Thanks to you, we are trending toward a full enrolment of students for September 2013, with a full school defined by any more than 80 students in a given year. Thank you for telling the NJC story!
