weekend of the NJC Homecoming and we were pleased to welcome back representatives from the classes of 1963 (their 50th anniversary), 1983 (their 30th), 2003 (their 10th) as well as from 1968 (their 45th) and 2002 (their 11th).
Following a reception at the school, alumni were invited to visit Switzerland’s largest Antique Fair (called a ‘Brocante’) in Le Landeron, a medieval village to the east of the city, on Saturday, after which they enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the famous Hôtel DuPeyrou where we were also able to witness the half hour fireworks display from the dining room’s balcony. Finally, on Sunday, the closing highlight of the festival was the nearly two- hour parade through the city’s streets.
Of course, alumni, students and staff alike enjoyed the attractions of Fête throughout the weekend. Unfortunately, the beautifully warm weather of the first day of ‘Fête’ turned to uncharacteristically cooler and wet weather for Saturday and Sunday. Nonetheless, as alumni and current students will
know that you are always welcome à Neuchâtel! Bill Boyer, Head of School
