Thinking about Research
The man in the cartoon wrote his paper before finding the data.
Now he has a problem. When researching, you will usually
begin with a general idea of what you want to say and then do
the research. This method leaves room for at least a few
surprises. If you want to learn something about a topic such as
the life of someone you admire or the history of a company you
want to work with, you usually have a little knowledge to begin
with and a lot more knowledge after searching credible sources
for information.

Think of how often you research in any given day. What kind of
information do you search for online? How many times in one
day (or one week) do you look for information in order to verify
