Irregular Verbs

3 Recognize irregular verbs and use them

                                      correctly.

Every verb has four principal parts: the present-tense form, the past-

tense form, the past participle (used with helping verbs), and the

present participle (the -ing verb form used with helping verbs). Regular

verbs add -ed to form their past tense and past participles. Some

               examples of regular verbs follow.
