Learning Objectives
In this chapter, you will learn how to
1 Identify various pronoun errors.
2 Correct problems in pronoun agreement.
3 Correct problems in pronoun reference.
4 Correct problems in pronoun point of view.
Stand-ins for movie stars are carefully chosen to
be a perfect fit. Because pronouns are stand-ins
for nouns and for other pronouns, they, too, must
be a perfect fit. Sometimes, writers unintentionally
provide a less than perfect fit through errors in
pronoun reference, agreement, and point of
view.
