Pronoun Agreement

2 Correct problems in pronoun agreement.

Pronoun agreement means that a pronoun must agree in number
with the word it refers to. In other words, a singular pronoun can refer

only to a singular noun or pronoun, and a plural pronoun can refer

only to a plural noun or pronoun.

The word that a pronoun refers to is called its antecedent. An

antecedent may be a noun, a pronoun, or even a compound
construction, such as pens and pencils or Sam or Lilah.
