Underline and correct the two word choice problems in each sentence
below.
1. We all thought Harold was guilty as sin, but he swore he was
innocent as a lamb.
2. I hit the sack early last night, and almost before my head hit the
pillow, I was sawing logs.
3. When the sound of a heartbeat persists in continuing, the
narrator of “The Tell-Tale Heart” is definitely unnerved.
4. A scrawny cat slept on the lid of a garbage can, and my friend
was like, “That must be a stray.” Well DUH!
