Objective Writing Decimals or Fractions as Percents
To write a decimal as a percent, we use the result of Example 7 or 12 in this section.
In these examples, we found that 1 = 100%.
Write 0.38 as a percent: 0.38=0.38(1)=0.38(100%)=38.%

Writing a Decimal as a Percent
Multiply by 1 in the form of 100%.
0.27=0.27(100%)=27.%
If it helps, think of writing a decimal as a percent by reversing the steps in the
Helpful Hint on page 440.
Move the decimal point
