By superimposing the effect of two voltage sources, the current through the 1
Ω resistor, I is calculated as

network shown in Fig. 2.46. Use the superposition theorem.

Solution:
First remove one of the sources, say the voltage source and calculate the
current flow through the 8 Ω resistor.
