So please excuse me, my dear brother/sister, for I am not what you
expected, nor what you wished for.
But please, my dear brother/sister, don’t be upset, for I am some-
thing better than all that. I’m the brother you never knew you had,
I’m the man you never knew you loved, I’m the partner you never
knew you needed.
Let me grab your hand, let me hold you in my arms, and let me listen
to your stories as I wipe the tears from your eyes.
Let us walk together, and when we get tired, let us lay down in the
grass.
Let us laugh together, and when the music starts, let us get up and
dance.
Let us ride together, and when the night will dawn on us, and the
cold will come for our bones, and the jackals will come for our flesh,
let us stay close and find our way back home, together.
I wave to you from a space beyond compare, where night is day and
truth is dare.
Come, come now, it’s getting late,
Come take your place in this playful duet.
