True Love
There’s something about true love that makes it unforgettable. The
lightness that it leaves behind, the freedom that it keeps bringing up.
I don’t know exactly which quality makes it more appealing to the
heart, but if I had to guess, it would all come done to a big, beautiful
“Yes!”. And that is so because it’s not a quitter. It doesn’t run from
anything, just because there’s so much space in it. There’s space for
grief, space for confusion, space for misunderstanding, blame, both
happiness and pain. It’s equally inclusive and translucent.
True love, just as a spider web, can hold major weights without even
breaking a sweat.
You cannot miss it, as it is present everywhere. From the bad
thoughts in our head to the monsters under our bed. From the smile
on our face to the tears of shame and moments of disgrace. From our
childhood, all the way through adulthood and up until our dying
hour, it always sticks with us, giving us power.
From time to time, it stops us in our tracks, reminding us, to give a
simple “thanks”. Those moments often bring along great sorrow, a
sad event or a close-up encounter with death. Only then do most of
us give back appreciation, a most necessary thing that we should
carry around in every situation. But that’s ok, it doesn’t mind, as we
are actually the ones who are running out of time. It itself has plenty
of that, nothing but patience in fact.
