Remember
Remember how life used to be when you were just a child?
It used to be sweet, light, loving and bright. It used to take you on the
wildest adventures, through forests of tall pines and jungles filled
with intricate mazes of fun and good times. And no, it didn’t matter
that those weren’t actual forests nor jungles, but only your grand-
parents’ backyard. It didn’t matter because you somehow had this
magic power of turning everything around you into a wonderful play-
ground.
Oh, the excitement…the impatience…
Remember how you didn’t know time, and he didn’t know you.
When you only knew it was time to go back inside just because it was
getting dark.
Remember how you treated everyone you were meeting as a friend
and later as a best friend, and not as a competitor and later as an
enemy. You didn’t judge people, even though you didn’t like every-
one. You just told them if something bothers you or if somehow you
weren’t on the same page. Things like “diplomacy” weren’t even an
actual thing. Everything was too simple for notions or definitions.
For real now, do you remember?
