For the first time this year, the 250 East series has seen a second-time winner and Martin couldn’t have worked harder for the victory. He looked calm, cool and comfortable from the green flag all the way home to the checkers. He also utilized round six to capitalize on the
blunders of Malcolm Stewart who finished in 8th. Now Martin and Plessinger, who placed second, both on the Yamalube/Star Racing team, have two rounds to overtake the young Stewart who still has a 16-point lead on Martin. In an even better spot, teammate Aaron Plessinger, who’s racing as of late has been extraordinarily exceptional, lies just one- point back as both of the Yamaha boys push north for next weekend in Massachusetts; this is going to be interesting.
