JEREMY MARTIN
If there is any individual on the starting gate that can identify with both sides of the sport,
it’s the #6 Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha of Jeremy Martin. Having completed two undefeated 250 motocross championships—one in each of the last two years—he is yet to have the same success inside and hasn’t completely fulfilled his abilities in the stadiums. He’s also missed main event’s in each of his last three years, proving the Saturday night lights to not be Martin’s forte. Now a lites-bike veteran, Jeremy has turned fate around this year, qualifying in each of the first five races to earn the critical points needed to contend. As that same fate would have it, though, Martin has hit a road block by finishing outside the top-10 in the last two rounds. From points leader to 4th place, Martin has again felt the wrath of inconsistent finishes, forcing him to now climb upwards over the course of the remaining three circuits.
Moving into the Missouri territory, with three races left, Martin knows what is needed to carry the cherished title hopes into the final round. He has got to find his rhythm going forward and somehow avoid the mysteriously unlucky contact that he seems to make with his fellow competitors. As he fights for the lead role in the world renowned theatrical play of supercross each year, Martin aimed at at bounce back performance in St. Louis after only earning one- point last weekend in Indy. The
homestretch officially underway, lets look deeper into J-Mart and his authoritative Saturday night performance.
