It’s not an unfamiliar path, rather it’s one that Davi has walked before. Like back when he suffered a knee injury before the 2014 supercross season even started, along with numerous others throughout his career. The tough part, too, is he’s always been one of those super- consistent contenders that continues to hit the dirt. So much so that it’s kept him from being the championship threat that his entire amateur career seemingly led up to. A previous East series Lites champion, Davi has tasted the champagne and touched the coveted championship gold in previous years and hopes to come back for more once fully recovered. At 28 years old, healing can be a slower process but for that same reason it must be taken seriously. In hoping for a speedy return before the season closes out with Vegas the first Saturday in May, Davi heals up from his home in Georgia, looking straight to Foxborough and the Supercross series’ first time in Gillette Stadium. We at GritMoto sure hope the Duke can hurry back to the bike and make a few last runs before season’s end, looking forward to seeing the orange bike being back in the mix.
