The Lehi, Utah native was at it yet again for the limited class, where everyone was on stock and equal machines. If he could come away with a strong finish amongst modi- fied bikes, imagine what type of finishes he could generate, once everyone was on a true, equal playing field? He came into the first moto, soaring with confidence, knowing that he had prepared to the best of his abilities. Placed in heat two, Clarke could be found
in fourth place off the start, trying
to sort himself through traffic, and weed himself into a fast-paced lineup. Fourth quickly became third, where he would reside for two laps. Now, when dicing through traffic, one might think that it would be difficult to set the fastest laptime
of the moto; and you’re most often right, but Clarke could be found moving forward, fighting through a tad slower paced crowd, and still turning an absurd laptime! A one minute, fifty-seven second mark to be exact, when the next fastest was two minutes plus! With his me- chanic clapping the hands together, and leaning over the fence line,
his esteem was being boosted by the millisecond. He wished, oh he wished so badly that the moto was stretched to five, and maybe even six laps; however, the minicycle races were directed to mere sprints, where he would simply run out of time. Coming across the line sec- ond, he would finish behind Landon Gibson, and in front of both Nathan Hummel and Ely Gross. For the second rendition of this class, it was Hummel and Clarke with the one- two punch to begin. Clarke was truly
