With a less than favorable gate pick, Jimmy was forced to play the hand he was dealt, and emerged eleventh in the opening stages. Tenth on lap one, Jimmy began to deal with pressure from very competitive forces such as Arnaud Tonus and slid to twelfth
on lap four. Although falling to Justin Hill near the halfway point, Albertson studied the TLD rider, hooking on in the process and pressed to tenth place by lap eight. Jimmy hovered around the top ten throughout the entire main event; Albertson would actually end up in the tenth place position, something very respectable and one that he looks to continue to duplicate.
