A man of many hats and personalities throughout his career, Jimmy Albertson has landed yet another role for this years Supercross championship. Albertson, never a loss for words, has assumed both a managerial and competitors role on his Motorcycle
Superstore team, inheriting both mental and physical stress in this year’s preseason.
Dealing with both sciatic pain and a broken ankle prior to this week’s East Coast round, Albertson has had to remain poised as captain of his own assembly. The trickle down affect is apparent in situations such as this, and Jimmy’s character towards his crew is true in showing just how tough he is.
Making an unusual move at this point in his career, Albertson has decided to contend in the 250 East Coast series rather than the 450 division we’re used to seeing him in. It brings a new routine, new competition, and a fresh outlook to a year full of change for the Oklahoma resident. With a veteran mentality and ability to remain comfortable in the spotlight, Jimmy could be a dark horse in this year’s championship race.
