Alex has never been a star in practice as he showed that again at Ford Field. He qualified a quiet 13th
and went into the night show ready to back up his top 5 last weekend in Toronto. In 250 Heat 2, Alex
got a good start and came around the first lap in 5th. He would eventually lose a spot to Jeremy Martin but would use
it as a learning experience, following the veteran around the very tough Detroit track. Alex finished 6th in the Heat and went to the Main ready to race. Alex started his Main Event off great as he rounded the first corner in 7th. Mr. Frye had another good chance to put in an- other top ten performance when disaster struck. Alex had a small issue and went down early in the race. The crash would lead him to pull off the track on lap 4, his night in Detroit was over. Hopefully Alex is healthy and he can use the next two weekends off to regroup and be ready to come back strong at Indy.
