The top Privateer in qualifying?... None other than Jesse Wentland. Jesse qualified a very commendable 7th going into the night show and was ready to continue to build on his results. When 250 Heat 2 began, Jesse was ready and was able to make quick
work of the field, coming around the first lap in 4th after a mediocre start. Westland would eventually lose the spot to a hard charging Jeremy Martin through the very long whoop section. Jesse still was able to qualify 5th and went into the big race with even more, much needed confidence. The 250 Main Event was again, a hectic race with many crashes. Jesse rounded the first corner inside the top 10 and found himself running 6th by the end of lap 1. The top 250 privateer made a small mistake and picked himself back up in 12th on lap 7. He put his head down and did everything he could to catch back up. By the time the checkers flew, Jesse had climbed his way back to 10th. This would be his 3rd top ten of the season and he would go into the two week break with confidence.
