Vann Martin didn’t have the best day of qualifying in Ford Field. A very tough Detroit track was taking riders out all day long. Vann was able to keep it on two wheels through
the second session and qualify 26th. The night began and in 250 Heat 1, Vann got a so so start, where he came around the first lap just inside the top 15. Unfortunately, the track got the best of him and he would go on to the LCQ. A similar story would be true for Vann’s LCQ attempt. A bad start would put Vann in the 15th spot on the first lap and it didn’t get any better after that. Unfortunately, Detroit was not Vann’s night and he will use the next two weeks to come back stronger for Indianapolis.
