JACOB WEIMER
Jake Weimer has often been overshadowed in his career. Other riders on his past and present teams, always seem to be the
focus of the spotlights. This year he was offered the opportunity to ride for a factory team after round 3 and is now riding in the shadows of Ken Roczen. Jake knows how
to handle this situation well, as he had spent a portion of his career
as the teammate to Ryan Villopoto. Jake has had some ups and downs in his career and this season of Supercross has been no different for the RCH rider. Achieving a top 10 finish in 450 Supercross racing in 2016 is no small feat. Jake has been able to score 10th or better 5 times already this year, but he has also scored outside of the top 15 a couple times as well. Jake definitely has the speed and the equipment, its just a matter of putting 20 laps together against 20 of the best riders in the world. This weekend will be tough for Jake as Detroit
isn’t Jake Weimer’s favorite place to race because of a crash last year, where he was landed on by Canard. Weimer will be happy just finishing the race this weekend in Detroit.
