Cooper’s day started off well as he qualified inside the top five in the Southwick sand. Cooper was ready to get another win and set his focus on the races. He got off to a decent start and was running just inside the top ten on lap one. He was able to make it up to 8th place soon after and stayed there for most of the moto. His lap times began to get faster as the moto went on and he began to challenge the riders in front of him.
He finally made the pass and knew it was time to go, as there was only about ten minutes left on the clock. Cooper was a man possessed at this point and began passing riders like they were standing still. He made his way passed teammate
Plessinger, and was pressuring Tonus for 2nd place as the laps wound down.
