If you can find a rider that sits atop both the 50cc and 65cc divisions, you better keep close eye on them, as the transi-
tion from one machine to the other can be quite the task. Drew Adams seeks this type
of challenge however, hopping back and forth, never backing down from anyone or anything. The first moto saw Drew come around the opening sequence
in fourth, chasing everyone in front of him. Pushing the pace, the fourth quickly morphed into third, and then the lead, setting the fastest lap of the race in the process. Making his way past William Canaguier III, he had to get creative with his line choice. But as you may have guessed, that was of no distraction to the Tennessee native. He continued his blistering speed, and would take the moto win. Yet again, he had to work his way up from a few spots back, this time coming across the stripe in sixth place. Almost as if he were replicating Christophe Pourcel, he would slowly but surely wait until the final few laps to make his moves. Really displaying the sense of maturity the young man had. On lap five, he again put down the quickest time, moving into the lead, and taking yet another gold medal home. It was now time to complete what he had started, the third and final moto awaited him. Adams was in fourth on
the initial lap, with Seth Dennis leading. He then made his way around Austin Camden and Klark Robbins for second, eyeing the number 93, with a fierce drive. He then pulled out his quickest of bursts, an astonishing 2:35 mark, passing Dennis, and settling into the first position. He would reside here all the way until the finish line, securing yet another win, and the title that was very well deserved; his team couldn’t be more proud!
