RYDER DIFRANCESCO – 85CC (9-11) LIMITED
KILPATRICK
With names such as Hymas, Ro- mano, Long, Cochran, and Acevedo, this would be no walk in the park
for Ryder Difrancesco. Ryder, a California native who’s graced the cover of numerous magazines, websites, and all other types of media publications, was the center of attention for this division, prior
to the first gatedrop; and rightfully so. Companies such as Kawasaki, and Jimmy John’s wouldn’t back a rider that truly wasn’t deserving of their support, but Ryder took this class by storm, and would leave all reassured, of why he’s a recipient
of this well-earned attention. Moto number one saw Ryder out to an early lead, just ahead of Hymas and Romano. Sweeping both outsides coming out of the woods area, the KX was ringing to its highest extent, stuttering through the enormous chop, but Ryder never letting off.
He would push, each and every lap, until the final flag waved; an eleven- second win. The second of three races, saw the same trio of riders, Hymas, Difrancesco, and Romano at the head of the field. However, Romano took the early lead, with Hymas eventually inheriting the role, while Ryder would move to second; Romano would fall to third. Ryder would hound chance every second possible, going outside whenever possible. Lunging for all his might
at the line, he would come up just short, giving Chance the victory this time around. The third moto offered a clean slate, and this time, Ryder wasn’t playing around. He would take the green flag, and then set the fastest lap of the moto. Hymas, was all over the number 99, when sud- denly, a mistake on lap three caused all momentum to cease; it was Ry- der’s to lose. Being here many times before, Ryder kept the heart rate under control, and would hold a solid pace out front. He eyed the white and black flag for what seemed like miles; it wasn’t a mirage, it was his to keep. Flying by the announcer’s tower, he’d done what he’d set out to do. This championship was his forever.
