If you listen closely, you can al- most hear the hiss of a Cobra in the distance, as this class if a full sea of yellow machinery, looking to chew up this Tennessee soil. Who’s the rider everyone is eye- ing, you ask? None other than Temecula, California’s Wyatt Thurman. He and Gage Dunham battled early on, swapping the lead and runner-up positions,
as Thurman threw down the hottest lap of the moto, with a staggering 2:51 mark. Getting some serious hang time over the massive infield jumps, Thurman was impressing everyone in attendance, as he skied through the air on his way to an excellent ride and first moto win. It was just as the opening race had played out, Thurman pushing
to first after an early lead from Dunham. They would swap paint in the transaction, Thurman never being afraid to rub bars with anyone. He wanted this
win badly, and was showing it. Pulling out to a whopping, fifteen second lead by motos end, Thurman was setting pretty to take this championship back to the West coast. A variable was then added to the third moto mix, as Thurman presented another solid start, but there
was a competitor by the name
of Ryder Ellis, storming his way through the field. Inching his way from 13th, to the lead, it went he, Thurman, and Uriah Wood, all duking it out for the coveted title of race winner. Thurman had to remember though, the title was his if he didn’t make a serious mistake. He remained under control, guiding the slithering Cobra all the way to the finish with a second place ride. Grin- ning from ear to ear, the title of champion was now placed, just beside his name. His mechanic, team, and sponsors, couldn’t
be more proud of his efforts throughout the week.
