With there being a so-called, “To Do List”, of amateur nationals, there are a select few that have been staples, and are a must
for competitors. Loretta Lynn’s, The MotoPlayground Race at Ponca City, Freestone Championship, and Mini O’s, among others that are on the rise. However, where this event has really “bolstered” its appeal, is with a hefty sum of cash, offered for the top placing competitors; 10,000 dollars to be exact. And with many of these guys racing for the taste of cash, for the first time, the antics were surely to be in full force by the time the initial flag flew. With the gate drop for the first moto of 250 A, it was Derek Drake casting his reel to bring home the victory. An early lead saw both he and Mitchell Falk jousting back and forth. The sword swiping and jabbing, would lead both to an all out war. Falk, never one to back down, was resilient in his quest, eventually mov- ing past Drake, and taking home the moto win. The top three in the order, Falk, Drake, and Jordan Bailey. Falk once again proved that he was the man to beat, yet again dialing in the start and taking the honor of leading the field. Each lap, he would stay com-
