There aren’t too many reasons to modify a 450 to most, as many can’t ride nor control a stock machine in the first place. The pure, raw anguish these machines can produce is nothing to laugh at, and anyone who can tame these so-called “two-wheeled” beasts, must be respected. You wouldn’t necessarily expect those in a limited-experienced division to be able to master this art, however riders like ____ seemed to put on a clinic throughout the first few days of the week. Beginning with the onset of qualifiers, the order of being granted op- timal gate-pick was a must, as key placement could solidify a high percentage of victory, in a matter of a few feet. Stabbing the clutch as the field scooted down the opening straight, a process of elimination ensued in the following laps. Each flag meant a different connotation of countdown, and a bit of reassurance with every passing moment.
